Merry Christmas, London!

I have a nice tradition of showing you pictures of Christmas London every year. The Christmas season is the perfect time to put aside the politics, history and conflicts I mostly write about and focus on the unique beauty of the world around us. We all really need a little “Christmas Truce” (like on the Western Front in 1914) to spend more time with our families and focus on the spiritual side of life. In December, London prepares its own Christmas fairy tale for you. Today I invite you to join me on a mini-journey into the heart of the British capital.

A classic Christmas trip always starts with a train. Imagine you have just arrived from Paris or Amsterdam at St. Pancras International, London’s iconic railway station. This is home to the most extraordinary Christmas tree in London!

It is stylized as a library with shelves of books acting as branches and Christmas decorations.

In my opinion it is not only the most unusual but also the best.
