I agree with your first point. However, there’s a lot of controversy in the term “decolonization” and its application to the Ukrainian history. Perhaps, it would be better to call it “cultural transformation”, as it is a broader phenomenon in modern Ukrainian society that is not limited to the perception of Ukraine as a “former colony”. The revival of the Ukrainian language, traditions and culture can only be welcomed, it is really important for the preservation of Ukrainian identity.
