How many social media comments do you get in a day? 10 or 15 or maybe 150? Do you read and respond to them all, or do you usually ignore them and say, “I don’t have time”? Meanwhile, comments can sometimes be the most interesting part of an article or social media post. They are an invaluable source of information, ideas and opinions, a sociological cross-section that reveals the views of your audience. By mastering the art of reading and interpreting, you can turn your comments section into an endless source of self-improvement and growth for your blog.

When I created my Medium account two years ago, I never imagined that my posts would generate such a massive response. I started writing on Medium after my country became the epicenter of a new global military conflict — I mean Putin’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. I just couldn’t stay silent.

Inspired by my Ukrainian family, their strength and determination, I wanted to share with you what I was seeing and give you as much insight as I could. Of course, I always read all the comments under my posts and try to respond when I have time. And I can say that this reading has given me as much new knowledge in two years as a course at a first-class university. I actually learned a lot about myself, the quality of my texts…
