2024 will be a pivotal year in shaping the geopolitical landscape and collective future of humanity. The new year begins against a backdrop of unprecedented devastation, division and instability, with 27 regions experiencing massive violence and political insecurity, according to the Global Conflict Tracker. Meanwhile, human rights around the world are under threat from old and new challenges. At the same time, the year ahead offers significant opportunities for progress, whether at the ballot box or within our multilateral system.
